All my life I have loved horses. I’m a US Marine who did a tour in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. While overseas my parents purchased the family’s first horse. She had a little filly named Missy. This was my first horse in 1968. Years later moving to the South my wife and I decided to get back into riding.

What Our Customers Have to Say

This is a book of love

How loving a horse changed a man’s life for better!

From all the animals that humans have come to domesticate over the course of evolution, horses will always have a special place and a special bond with humans. Initially the animal that humans intended to domesticate to help them cover large distances, later proved to be their best friends with almost therapeutic tendencies contained in them. Evidence of extraordinary human-equine friendships – almost to the point of being mystical – has been historically found in the literature. Horses have assimilated into our societies for many years, and for a host of reasons. Horses can be working animals, and used as athletes in equestrian sport. They are portrayed as man’s best friend in many young adult horse books.
